The creation of water reservoirs appears to be an important strategy, especially in light of the strong threats to water availability that have characterized recent years.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The motorway system, with its numerous and significant impermeable surfaces, constitutes an extraordinary tool for intercepting the water resource which, thanks to a special collection and regimentation system, will flow into conservation tanks for future use&#8221; said Federico Lenti, director of the A4 section of the Turin-Milan Astm.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The water collected will be used to meet needs in the motorway context, such as within toll stations and service areas; moreover, they can also be used to satisfy the needs of adjacent external realities, such as for agricultural and industrial uses of local realities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Piedmont will host the first motorway rainwater collection and reuse plant built in Italy.
