Arboreal census and redevelopment project of the Engie thermoelectric plant

Description

The arboreal heritage belonging to the Engie thermoelectric power plant has 762 trees, of which the species, diameter, height and vegetative state have been detected. For each specimen the geographical coordinates were measured to perform the cartographic framing using GPS.
The redevelopment project of the dune area inside the power plant and the external dune area was also carried out, the latter with the aim of
increase the tree consistency to allow better masking of the Turin-Aosta motorway artery on which landscape protection insists. The project involves the planting of 30 new trees and 645 shrubs. For the entrance area, a design idea has been developed which consists of placing furniture such as outdoor tables and benches, to allow
plant workers take an outdoor lunch break.
